This subject aims to explore with participants the role of the Child and Family Health Nurse in a variety of health and community based settings. Participants will examine and reflect on the core knowledge and skills of a Child and Family Health Nurse and develop an understanding of the professional practice framework for Child and Family Health Nurses. Legislation, policies, and theories that inform the practice of Child and Family Nurse will be critically examined. Students will focus on the implications for practice as a Child and Family Health Nurse working in partnership with families, communities and other professionals.
