This subject extends the students' knowledge of occupational therapy, and the social science subjects already studied, to enable students to gain the skills to design and run a group therapy program.
This subject introduces occupation based therapeutic groups and how to facilitate effective groups by applying knowledge of group dynamics, effective design principles of the group structure and the use of intentional therapeutic communication strategies.
