This subject introduces students to understanding how the social determinants of health impact the health and wellbeing of the individual and communities.
Students will explore the principles of health promotion and community development and their application to occupational therapy practice. To do this successfully students will extend their knowledge of diversity within communities and of Australian history and Indigenous culture in order to design community programs that are meaningful and culturally responsive.
