Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • Be able to show creative and innovative solutions to the design and production of a digital portfolio in a variety of mediums
  • have a strong working knowledge of the principal theories and techniques in outputting digital imagery to print and the web
  • Be able to demonstrate these theories and techniques with specific reference to photographic practice
  • Be aware of current and evolving methods of digital photo-image presentation and dissemination of images

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:
  • Concepts and technologies underpinning the digital portfolio
  • Creating a web based image gallery and screen-based exhibition
  • Create a body of photographic work for development of a print-based exhibition
  • Explore web-based communities for sharing still photographic imagery and concepts
  • Changing methodologies for the presentation of photographic imagery in current and evolving digital media
