SPH515 Integrating Speech Pathology Competency in the Workplace (8)

In this subject students integrate their speech pathology knowledge and skills, and apply these within speech pathology practice contexts. They complete 24 days of workplace learning, primarily working with either an adult or paediatric population. Workplace learning settings may include hospitals, community health centres, disability organisations, and education providers. Students work with clinical educators to develop speech pathology knowledge, skills and attributes to a standard approaching Entry level as defined by current professional standards. In addition, students complete a clinic that focusses on application of knowledge and skills to a specialist practice area. Throughout the subject students continue to develop their ability to apply professionalism, reasoning, communication and lifelong learning to speech pathology practice.
