Maths Skills 2 - Intermediate is taught as 2 sequential modules A and B, each 14 hours long. Maths Skills 2 - Intermediate A is designed for students who are entering University without a strong background in mathematics or who have limited recent practice and are planning to enrol in subjects requiring basic arithmetic skills, calculator skills and basic algebra. Some secondary level mathematics is desirable but not essential. This subject builds on the skills acquired in the Maths Skills 1 - Introductory subject so can be taken by students who have completed this subject and need to extend their mathematics knowledge further. A diagnostic test can be completed prior to the commencement of this subject for applicants who have not completed Maths Skills 1 - Introductory subject and need assistance to determine which of the two courses best fits their initial needs.
