SSS074 Maths Skills 3 - Advanced A (2)

Mathematics Skills 3 - Advanced is taught as 2 sequential modules: A and B, each 14 hours long. Mathematics Skills 3 - Advanced A and B are advanced subjects that prepare students for the commencement of undergraduate study in those courses that require a strong knowledge of mathematics. It is designed for those students who studied the equivalent of Advanced Mathematics (formerly known as 2 Unit Mathematics) at HSC or Mathematical Methods at VCE within the last 10 years, and need a refresher. It covers number systems, advanced algebra, functions and graphs, trigonometry and differential and integral calculus with applications. The subjects are recommended for students planning to study courses such as Engineering and Computer Science or a course majoring in Mathematics. It is designed as 2 x 14 hour modules. Mathematics Skills 3 - Advanced A focuses on number systems, advanced algebra, trigonometry, sketch trig functions.
