Students are required to spend three weeks completing the final component of their Clinical Extramural Studies during this rotation.
This clinical rotation is the final three weeks of compulsory Clinical Extra Mural Studies (CEMS) that all students must complete. The selection of the type of practice must allow compliance with the overall requirements of the CEMS program. Students are expected to be actively engaged in clinical activity for no less than 7 hours per day. Practices can be any practice in Australia or in other countries but must be approved by the School before students attend. Not all practices are necessarily suitable for EMS.

CEMS 3 is an open syllabus based on exposure to clinical veterinary practice under the instruction of experienced veterinarians. CEMS 3 is structured to allow students to choose a discipline or species of veterinary practice consistent with their vocational interests.
