Graduate Diploma of Child Protection Investigation


The course addresses the education needs of police and other personnel working in child protection. The course focuses on contemporary practice in child protection investigation and explores issues of ethics and legal requirements for the successful collection of evidence. It presents the ethos of the joint investigative approach as best practice.

Admission requirements

The course is aimed at people working within this specialist area or with a demonstrated interest in it. Applicants will be evaluated as to their suitability by a number of criteria: work experience both duration and type; previous work history and prior academic qualifications.

Course requirements

Students must satisfactorily complete 64 subject points (normally equal to eight subjects).
