Graduate Diploma of Human Services
The strands of this course are for established practition
Child & Adolescent Welfare strand
This course provides a professional program in child and family
welfare that meets the needs of both government and non-government
sectors.
Management strand
The program aims to meet the diverse needs of managers and others
working within the broad field of human services, either in the
public or the non-government community sectors.
Advanced Practice
This course focuses on building the knowledge base and skills
for effective practice in human services, including working with
groups or communities, or in public and non-profit sectors.
Relationships strand
This course is offered in partnership with Relationships Australia,
which is an industry leader in the counselling and mediating field.
A residential school based in Sydney is involved.

Course requirements
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 64 subject
points (normally eight subjects).

Articulation
Students who successfully complete this course will have the opportunity
of completing the Master in Social Science (Welfare & Social
Policy) by coursework and dissertation or the Master of Business
(Human Resource Management) and will receive full credit for all
subjects studied.
If students have a Bachelor of Social Work degree, they will be
able to progress to the Master of Social Work with full credit
for subjects completed in these courses.
University regulations prohibit the granting of more than one
award for the one course of study.
