This program is designed to meet the demands of industry for specialist training in operations management in manufacturing and service industries, particularly in relation to industries within the region directly serviced by Charles Sturt University.

Admission criteria

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.

Employer certification of adequate prior learning is taken into account in assessing eligibility for enrolment in the program. Applicants are required to have employer sponsorship. The employer is required to provide in-house mentor(s) and in-house assessor(s) for each applicant.

Credit for previous study

Credit up to a maximum of four subjects may be given to a student who is deemed to have completed equivalent study at a recognised tertiary institution.

Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Manufacturing Management will gain credit for the first four subjects in the MBA (Operations Management). Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Management will gain credit for the subjects MGT521, MGT522, MKT531 and MGT551.
