The program aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to be competent in operations management in manufacturing and service industries. The course is designed to provide students with a range of educational backgrounds the opportunity to complete a postgraduate level education in operations management.

Distance education with regular face to face sessions

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.
Employer certification of adequate prior learning is taken into account in assessing eligibility for enrolment in the program. Applicants are required to have employer sponsorship. The employer is required to provide inhouse mentor(s) and inhouse assessor(s) for each applicant.
Credit to a maximum of two subjects may be given to a student who is deemed to have completed equivalent study at a recognised institution.
To graduate, students must complete a total of eight compulsory subjects. Each subject consists of three modules which are taught as short self-contained training courses within industry, and each module requires the student to complete and pass specific assessment tasks.
