Graduate Certificate in Commercial Dispute Resolution

The course aims to examine theories of conflict and methods of conflict resolution within and outside the traditional legal system. Students will gain an understanding of the causes of conflict and the availability and suitability of various methods of dispute prevention and resolution and their differing results; and learn the skills and ethics of conflict resolution and be able to apply them to mediation processes in different settings.

Admission criteria

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.

Students must satisfactorily complete four session-length subjects.
