Graduate Certificate in Public Practice

The aim of the course is to meet the demand identified by the Association of Tax and Management Accountants for a postgraduate course of study to satisfy the education requirements of members wishing to enter public accounting practice. The course equips accountants with the skills necessary to effectively operate in public practice.

Professional recognition

The course is recognised by the Association of Tax and Management Accountants (ATMA) as satisfying the requirements for the award of the professional body's Public Practice Certificate.

Admission criteria

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.

Accreditation

The course is accredited by the Association of Tax and Management Accountants.

Course requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete four eight (8) credit point subjects, including three compulsory subjects and one elective subject.
