The aim of the course is to prepare the student for managerial and specialised roles in training and development within the public and private sectors. On completion of the course, students will be able to: identify the environmental factors that affect the role and practice of training and development; describe the theoretical bases of training and development activities; recognise training and development's relationship with other human resource functions, as well as its strategic contributions; and undertake core and expanded training and development activities utilising relevant resources effectively.

Admission criteria

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.

Course requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete four compulsory eight-point subjects.
