Considers influences on the planning function, including policy formulation, internal politics, and the decision making processes. Examines the relationship between strategic planning and an organisation's goals and mission, analysis of the environment in which the organisation operates, and the internal resources of the organisation. Includes the opportunity to participate in a computer based business simulation.
