*Students should consult with the Course Coordinator before choosing their eighth foundation subject. The eighth foundation subject should be either MGT110, MGT210, ACC110 or in consultation with the Course Coordinator another subject such as PSY102 Foundations of Psychology 2M or MKT210 Principles of Marketing or HRM210 Human Resource Management may be chosen.
Students may elect to complete a joint study in another discipline area or choose optional subjects to bring the total number of subjects completed in the course to 24.
Select from a list of subject options approved by the Commerce Faculty Board the number of subjects needed to bring the total number of subjects to 24, ensuring that no more than 4 LEVEL ONE subjects, in addition to the compulsory level one subjects, are completed in the degree. The level of a subject is designated by the first digit in the subject code. ie. ECO100 is a level one subject.
Subjects which duplicate other subjects in the course may not be chosen as options.
A list of the subject options approved by the Commerce Faculty Board is included at the end of this section.
A joint study is a prescribed set of subjects taken from a discipline, other than the chosen specialisation. Students are then able to use the title of the joint study in conjunction with the specialisation (eg. Bachelor of Business in Accounting/Finance). Details of approved joint studies are included at the end of this section.
