Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) Conversion


This conversion course allows qualified diagnostic radiographers who hold a three year full-time Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography awarded by an Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent, to achieve degree level status.

Admission requirements

Applicants must hold the Diploma of Health Science (Medical Imaging) awarded by Charles Sturt University, or an equivalent diploma from another Australian institution. Holders of approved overseas qualifications may also be eligible to study the course.

Students may also be admitted on successful completion of the Medical Imaging Upgrade Program offered through the Open Learning Institute of the University.

Professional recognition

This course has been accredited by the Australian Institute of Radiography.

Course requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete a minimum of four subjects (or 32 subject points). There are no residential schools associated with the course.

Students with qualifications from institutions other than Charles Sturt University may follow a slightly different structure to that specified below, depending on the subjects they have studied.

This program has a mid-year intake only.
