The Graduate Certificate in Employment Relations is designed to provide graduates with a knowledge in both the Human Resource Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations (IR) areas and aims to enhance the people skills and employment knowledge of managers particularly in today's rapidly changing employment environment. It is particularly relevant for line managers at all levels.
Students will enhance their writing, analytical and evaluative skills and gain the knowledge to understand, analyse and evaluate employment relations and be able to anticipate developments within the context of contemporary relations changes.

Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.
Credit to a maximum of two subjects may be given to a student who is deemed to have completed equivalent study at a recognised institution.
The course consists of four subjects (eight subject points each) normally to be completed over one year of part-time study. To graduate, students must complete 32 subject points.

Students may join the course at either Session 1 or Session 2 but must follow the sequence order.
