Working with a supervisor, a candidate must:

The thesis counts as 64 points and is the sole basis for the award of the level of Honours. Students may study in any area acceptable to the Faculty and for which there is supervision available.

Students may have to meet additional coursework requirements as determined by the Faculty Board.

Transfer among postgraduate programs

With the permission of the Faculty, and subject to certain stipulations, students may transfer candidature from the Master of Education or the Master of Education (Special Education) degree to the Master of Education (Honours) degree or vice versa with portability of credits gained if appropriate.

Appropriately qualified candidates who are enrolled in the Master of Education (Honours) course and who are performing at a satisfactory level may be permitted to transfer candidature to the Doctor of Philosophy or the Doctor of Education program with portability of credits gained if appropriate.
