The course provides practical pre-vocational training to enable graduates to work in the design, technical production, and stage and production management areas of theatre and television.
The core of the course is a sequence of subjects in the practical design and production elements of sets, lighting, sound, and costumes for both theatre and television, which are then applied to a series of television and studio and mainstage theatre productions in the University's thrust stage theatre and television studio. Similarly students learn stage, floor and production management skills and put them into practice in stage and television productions. Students work closely with their peers from the BA (Acting for the Screen & Stage) and BA (Television Production) courses, ensuring a firm context for a busy production program.
