
This degree is designed for serving police officers and aims to enhance professional practice in policing. It is approved by the NSW Police Service for this purpose.

Part-time 2-4 years (10 sessions)
To be eligible for admission applicants must be serving police with a minimum of five years policing experience.
The course has two patterns, one for students who have completed the Diploma of Policing or its equivalent and one for students admitted on the basis of industry experience and training. The latter may elect to graduate with the Diploma of Applied Policing after satisfactorily completing the first two years of this program.
This program is for students who have completed the Diploma of Policing or its equivalent.

Students must complete four advanced policing subjects including at least three from one area of advanced policing.
Area: The Police and the Community
Plus subjects drawn from Aboriginal Studies upon consultation with the Course Coordinator.

Students must complete three cognate study subjects from one of the following discipline areas:
Students may choose any subjects with the appropriate codes provided they have prerequisites.
This program is for students admitted on the basis of industry experience and training.
Before proceeding to the course pattern set out in Pattern One students must complete six subjects from the list below. Please note that some of these subjects are available on a semester basis, others on a trimester basis. It is suggested that students undertake three subjects per year of part-time study in this phase of the program.
On completion of the six subjects students may elect to graduate with the Diploma of Applied Policing or proceed to study towards the Bachelor of Policing.
