The Master of Commerce (Accounting) (Honours) is a research degree for accounting graduates of superior ability. It is designed to provide opportunities for research training for graduates in accounting wishing to further their disciplinary training to qualify for an academic career, or a career in industry and commerce requiring higher qualifications.

Applicants must normally hold an undergraduate/honours degree in accounting, a pass degree in accounting demonstrating superior performance or a postgraduate accounting conversion degree demonstrating superior performance.
This course articulates with the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) (Honours) course offered at Charles Sturt University. Credit may be granted for subjects deemed to be equivalent to the compulsory core subjects.
Graduates of this program are eligible to join the Association of Taxation and Management Accountants at the Fellow level, without further study.
Students must complete four compulsory core subjects and a thesis on an approved topic.
