This subject is one of a suite of Master's research subjects allowing students an opportunity to develop a research plan and conduct a thorough literature review. Within these subjects, students will develop an advanced level of knowledge in a nominated discipline, and develop research, verbal and written skills in a specialised field.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to preparing to conduct research;
  • be able to demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in the area of specialisation; and
  • be able to demonstrate verbal and written skills relevant to advanced studies.

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:
  • Students select a research topic, write a literature review and then develop a plan for a research project, under the guidance of the supervisor(s) which is relevant to the nominated discipline.
