Students will critically evaluate the oral health promotion interventions completed in previous years, and apply most up-to-date oral health promotion literature to this evaluation process. Based on this knowledge, students will develop a graduate level of knowledge in the determinants of oral health and how effective oral health promotion in both individual and community settings impact on health. More developed concepts of current public oral health policy will be further established, and the impact these have on the oral health therapy profession. Students will establish advanced knowledge in models of health behaviour, cultural competency and be assessed on applying these in clinical and community settings.
