This subject 'Engineering Cornerstone Thesis' helps cadet engineers to enhance their civil engineering design skills by working in an engineering design team to solve a multidisciplinary, integrated, complex, civil engineering design project, identified in their intermediate work placement. Cadets must apply their theoretical and technical knowledge gained elsewhere in the curriculum and the workplace learning to the design. The outcomes should be delivered in both written (thesis) and oral (thesis defence) formats. Engineering cornerstone thesis will be jointly supervised by an academic engineer from CSU engineering and with a supervisor from their work placement, in addition to the subject coordinator.
