ESC401 Introduction to Educational Computing (8)
Enrolment Restriction: Entry into the Master of Education, Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary), Bachelor of Education (Health and PE), Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Bachelor of TAS or as determined by the course coordinator.
This subject introduces the computer and related technologies as tools for the classroom teacher. Information and communication technologies will be considered and evaluated for their contribution to teaching and learning. These technologies will be investigated for their use in the classroom and as a productivity tool in teaching. Students enrolled in this subject will be supported in their endeavours to gain proficiency in the use of the technologies for educational purposes and will be encouraged to investigate the potential of the technologies in the context of their individual needs.
