INR501 Industrial Relations Environment (8)
The aim of this subject is to place the function and processes of industrial relations into a broad social, political, economic and organisation context. This subject is designed in response to a rapidly changing contemporary context and to this end an historical analysis is adopted providing insight into the impact of economic conditions and theories, and the social, political and structural transformation of the Australian economy and society. Some specific attention will also be given to the development of management and organisational behavioural theories which are of critical importance in the current reform of Australian workplaces.
