This subject provides in depth analyses of some of the key cyber security concepts. Students will be introduced to the security threat environment as well as various defensive mechanisms, with a focus on operating system security, program security, host and application hardening and data protection techniques. Some of the emergent information and communication technology security related topics, such as, dark web, Internet of Things (IoT) security and digital forensics will also be briefly discussed.
