Prerequisite: ITC542
Enrolment Restriction: Not available to students who have completed ITC514.
This subject is designed to extend the student's understanding of basic computer networking and security in the context of a Linux-based server. It enables students to gain skills in configuring client and network services; network security including data encryption technologies, security policies, firewalls, cryptographic techniques, network intrusion detection systems, and gain an understanding of the ethics and privacy issues involved.
