MBA551 International Placement and Study Tour (8)

This subject offers the opportunity for students to participate in an international study tour of 2 to 4 weeks duration. The study tour may include visits to businesses, governments and non-government agencies together with workshops delivered in-country. The subject provides an opportunity for students to develop their personal and problem-solving skills in a cross cultural environment. Students will be required to complete assessments linking theory to practice on some aspect of the international business environment. Study tour locations for each calendar year will be listed on the CSU Global site.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to analyse and evaluate different aspects of international projects in culturally diversified environments;
  • be able to synthesise and evaluate the impact of cultural, legal, economic, political and technological forces affecting business in that environment;
  • be able to independently and critically examine and reflect on the impact of their experience in an international context; and
  • be able to make strategic recommendations that are appropriate for the relevant international context.
