This subject introduces the key practical and theoretical issues of strategic planning processes in contemporary environments. This subject helps students to gain and apply knowledge to understand how organisations plan, formulate, implement, and manage business strategy in order to fulfil key stakeholders expectations and achieve sustainable business success. The subject addresses planned versus emergent strategy, revolutionary versus evolutionary change, and organisational perpetuation versus transformation. Students develop key leadership skills in analysis, choice, design and implementation of business strategy in complex environments.
