This subject emphasises the integrated nature of physiotherapy practice in the management of chronic health conditions. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the lived experience of chronic health conditions, holistic perspectives of health and wellbeing, collaborative practice and culturally responsive approaches to chronic health care and other conditions. Students undertaking this subject will develop their skills further in general physiotherapy assessment and management, evidence-based practice, and demonstrated skills in clinical reasoning. Students will develop their understandings of person centred care through development of skills in interviewing, goal setting and physiotherapy management for people with chronic conditions living in rural and remote settings.
