PHS403 Rural and Remote Physiotherapy (8)

'Rural and Remote Physiotherapy' is a defining, capstone level subject within the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program. This subject aims to extend students' understanding of the role of physiotherapy in providing health care and positive outcomes for Indigenous Australians, particularly in rural and remote locations in Australia. They will devise strategies to improve the accessibility, availability, acceptability and quality of health services for Indigenous Australian peoples and communities in rural and remote areas, through exploring decolonising methodologies. This subject will also enable students to extend their skills in collaborative practice, digital technology, service planning and financial management.
