REC211 Outdoor Recreation Field Skills 4 (8)

REC211 is a subject that builds on the skills and knowledge obtained in REC210. Students will further develop their outdoor recreation leadership and field skills, and will become proficient in outdoor recreation program design and development. Students will take on lead guide roles in various outdoor recreation activities. The subject will also investigate topics such as: legal issues, workplace safety, wilderness first aid and emergency care. Specialised training in various outdoor recreation activities will be an intrinsic part of the subject.
