This subject contains a 24 days Compulsory Workplace Learning component.
This subject requires students to undertake up to 24 days of workplace learning. This includes a range of experiences organised through the CSU Speech Pathology Service including a paediatric on campus clinic and school/community based services. This is the students' first experience of direct contact with speech pathology clients. The focus in on speech and language assessment and intervention for paediatric clients. This subject provides students with key paediatric speech pathology experiences before their final year paediatric placement. It also provides the foundations for speech pathology practice across the lifespan and across range of practice areas. Therefore, this subject has a key role in the development and assessment of students competency.
