Accommodation

Accommodation at CSUAccommodation for International Students is guaranteed for the first year of study commencing in Session 1 intake (February). There is a range of comfortable and affordable accommodation options available across our campus network to suit your lifestyle and budget. The University offers a range of catered and self-catered housing options for single students on campus, with limited options for students with their families. There are also rental and boarding accommodation options off-campus in the campus cities.

Charles Sturt University is one of Australia's leaders in the provision of high quality accommodation to university students, at a reasonable price. You'll develop lifelong friendships with Australian and international students from a variety of backgrounds enrolled in a diverse range of courses.

As a first year international student taking up a new room in CSU Residences, you need to tell us your planned arrival date. When filling in the online accommodation application form, you should put into the comments section the date you will arrive on campus.

On campus accommodation

Living on campus means living in a specially designed and managed residence on the campus. Few universities in Australia can match the range of accommodation available at the Charles Sturt University campuses. Most of the University's accommodation has the advantage of being situated close to your studies. Living in the University accommodation offers you all the facilities of a small village with the community spirit to match, allowing you to open up your social horizons - you will have the opportunity to meet and live with people from across Australia and the world, who are studying a variety of different courses.

Off campus accommodation

The alternative to living on campus is to live off campus, either in the suburban or rural areas within close proximity to the university. Living off campus is more suitable for those with families or those who prefer single sex accommodation.

Costs will vary with size, location and age of the building. Regular bus services link most of the main teaching campuses to their cities.
