Orientation

Orientation of your uni campusCSU's international orientation program will assist you to make the transition to living and studying in Australia. International Student Support Officers provide a general orientation including familiarisation with teaching, administrative processes and campus facilities.

CSU runs an orientation program in the week before classes commence. This program is compulsory for international students.

Orientation programs run at all of our regional campuses, and at our Study Centres in Sydney and Melbourne.

Regional Campus orientation

The Orientation Program is designed to allow you to get the most out of your experience both academically and personally. You will find out how Charles Sturt University operates and discover the city that your CSU campus is located in. Orientation is an opportunity to make new friends and prepare for the session ahead. Social activities and club events are also organised.

You will attend workshops that cover issues that are important to you as an international student. Workshops include:

  • library orientation
  • computer centre (laboratories) access
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
  • Taxation
  • visa requirements
  • on campus and off campus accommodation
  • studying in Australia
  • family assistance
  • support services.

This is also a time to attend course advisory sessions and enrol at the University. You will also find out about your subject tutorials and timetable.

Study Centre Orientation

Our CSU Study Centre Orientation Program will help you adapt to living and studying in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make friends and prepare for the session ahead.
