We want to ensure your  time in Australia as a Study Abroad student  is life changing. For this reason, we are continually exploring new ways in which to help you maximise your  study experience. We offer a range of hands-on learning  opportunities  to advance your skills and knowledge  in your chosen area of  study, from exploring remote  Australia on a field trip to travelling overseas during a session break.

About Charles Sturt  University and our courses

 CSU extends national and international borders to offer close to 400 degree programs to around 35,000 students studying on campus, by distance education, and through its partner institutions.

CSU offers subjects from a wide range of disciplines for students on its campuses in regional NSW in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange and Wagga Wagga. You can study  at one of CSU's campuses and gain the international  experience you want in a supportive and accessible learning  atmosphere.

International  short term programs

Through CSU Global, you can participate in a university or an externally organised short term program overseas. Ranging from one to three weeks in duration, these programs are designed to provide students with a course related experience completed during a session break. The programs may be completed as part of a subject or just an additional experience to add to your academic portfolio.

Examples include*:

  • gaining teaching experience in Vanuatu, Thailand or South Korea
  • exploring the natural environment in East Timor
  • interacting with Sun Bears in Cambodia
  • completing a two-week clinical placement in medical science or forensic  biotechnology in India or Fiji.

*Please note some programs may have eligibility criteria or be subject to a quota.

Australian short term programs

Why not take the opportunity to explore the vast country of Australia while gaining valuable knowledge and experience relevant to your field of study? Some of our programs offer field trips or placements to remote parts of Australia, including:
