Travel to your campus

Travel arrangements to your regional campus can be made by connecting plane, train, or bus from Sydney or Melbourne. Depending on your arrival time, you may have to make a stopover in Sydney or Melbourne and arrange your own accommodation.

There are no direct international flights to regional campuses. You can arrange for a connecting flight, train or bus from Sydney or Melbourne.

Once you have confirmed your travel details be sure to contact the International Student Support Officer on your campus.

A University representative will meet you on your arrival in Bathurst, Orange, Albury-Wodonga or Wagga Wagga and take you to your campus. They will also ensure that you meet other students.

Getting to Albury-Wodonga

By plane

You can book a domestic flight from Melbourne or Sydney to Albury-Wodonga when you book your international flight. The airlines that service Albury-Wodonga are Regional Express (Rex), Qantas and Virgin Blue.

By train

From Melbourne airport you will need to take the city shuttle bus to the Southern Cross Railway Station. A one-way ticket will cost approximately AUD$16. At Southern Cross Railway Station, you can purchase a ticket for the train or bus to Albury-Wodonga.

Getting to Bathurst

By plane

You can book a domestic flight from Sydney to Bathurst when you book your international flight. The airline that services Bathurst is called Regional Express (Rex).
Your connecting flight to Bathurst will be from the domestic airport. There is a shuttle bus service to take you to the domestic terminal from the international terminal. If you need assistance, ask an airline steward or airport staff.

By train

If you are arriving through Sydney airport, trains leave frequently (about every 10 minutes) from the Airport to Central Station in the centre of Sydney. A one-way ticket will cost approximately AUD$15.

Once you have arrived at Central Railway Station, you will need to purchase a ticket to Bathurst from the CountryLink Office.

Some trains require you to change to a bus at the town of Lithgow. All passengers travelling to Bathurst will be required to make their way off the train, up the stairs and to the right where you will be met by the connecting bus.

Once you have arrived at Central Railway Station, you will need to purchase a ticket to Wagga Wagga from the CountryLink Office. The train to Wagga Wagga leaves from the Country Trains platform.
