Staff Profile

"I started working for CSU in August, 2007. I am the Marketing Web Coordinator which means I oversee CSU’s marketing efforts online, providing support to other areas within the University, as well as helping to develop our web strategy and looking for ways to make better use of this ever-changing and increasingly important communication channel. My particular focus is how we communicate with our prospective students.

“CSU gives you the freedom to enjoy a good work/life balance without guilt or disadvantage. It is rare that an employer not only talks about work/life balance, but actually delivers on the rhetoric. CSU offers an excellent Flexible Working Hours scheme.

“I also like working in regional locations. I have worked at CSU’s Wagga Wagga Campus and am now based at the Albury-Wodonga Campus. Having grown up in the country, but spent most of my working career in Sydney, it is really great to be able to work 10 minutes from home – and even have the family come out to visit me for lunch.

“Since commencing with CSU I have attended interstate conferences relevant to my role, as well as participated in training sessions on leadership development and understanding workplace culture. I have had the opportunity to discuss with my managers my career aspirations and they have responded with encouraging feedback and further direction.

“CSU provides a great work environment with friendly staff and supporting managers. Your contribution is valued and there are frequent opportunities for career development.”
