This video is a section from the presentation by Dr Dennis Greer - please contact Tamara Howlett for more information
This presentation took place at the NWGIC on Wednesday 21 May 2009.
Dr Dennis Greer will compare the leaf appearance, leaf expansion and stem extension patterns of fruiting and vegetative vines and model these processes using kinetic analyses of the patterns. From photosynthetic and biomass measurements and estimates, carbon acquisition and sequestration will be assessed to determine the net carbon balance of Semillon shoots over the growing season. This will reveal when and by how much the vines are dependent on reserves to support initial growth and how much of the carbon available was used to support reproductive growth.
