Professor Bill Price

Bill is known internationally for his work on magnetic resonance techniques for measuring molecular dynamics as evidenced by my awards (see below), invitations to speak and chair at international conferences and to contribute scholarly articles and to join Editorial Boards. He has published 1 book  ('NMR  Studies  of  Translational  Motion',  Cambridge  University  Press,  2009),  21  book chapters and 113 journal publications. His 1997 pedagogical paper on magnetic resonance diffusion measurements has been cited more than 550 times. His work has been presented in more than 155 conference presentations including many invited and plenary lectures and 60 invited lectures apart from conferences. He has a Hirsch index of 25 and more than 2800 total citations. The importance of my research has resulted in more than $ 8 million in competitive grant funding. Bill has a long history of successful research supervision.

Bill's research interests include Medical Physics, Magnetic Resonance and Biophysics: Especially molecular dynamics in biological (e.g., tumours, plants) and chemical systems using NMR imaging (i.e., MRI), relaxation and NMR measurements of translational diffusion. His research has direct applications to a wide range of practical problems including pharmaceutical screening and lithium batteries.
