Advantages of CSU accommodation

No bills, no hassles

One of the biggest issues amongst students moving into private housing is sorting out who will take responsibility for bills. When staying in CSU residential accommodation, all your bills are included in your rent. As a result you get to live in a climate controlled environment with none of the hassle involved in splitting bills or worry about keeping warm in winter or cool in summer.

There is no bond. All bedrooms as well as common rooms are fully furnished, meaning you avoid the upfront costs involved in setting up private housing. No fridges or couches to purchase or move, no chasing money from roommates for equal shares. With Residence Life you just have the simplicity of moving in, the rest is taken care of.

Support and community

When you stay with Residence Life @ CSU, you will be supported by a dedicated team of Residential Advisors, who provide pastoral care and support to on campus students. The Residence Life Support Team is there for you; and can steer you in the right direction no matter what the problem. You will also find them organising community events, campus sports as well as always working to create a better University and experience for all Residential Students.

As part of the Residence Life community, you will have the opportunity to meet and live with people from across Australia, and the world. By living and studying with people from a variety of different courses, you will experience a diversity of culture and knowledge that you would struggle to find in any other environment.

Security and maintenance

Residence Life provides 24 hour security and 24 Hour emergency maintenance as standard across CSU student accommodation. This service comes @ no cost to the students and is considered a priority to all CSU staff.

Security staff are available to escort students both to and from residential accommodation to or from anywhere on the university grounds, this is just part of the service to keep our students safe. Now that is peace of mind.

Study and lifestyles advantages

As a member of the Residence Life Community, you will have access to a comprehensive wireless internet service and support, with access rates of 100MBPS and unlimited downloads between 6pm-7am.

You will also have access to on campus facilities such as common/social spaces, entertainment venues, gyms, pools, and 24 hour computer labs and learning commons.
