Wagga Wagga Main Campus AccommodationCharles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, offers a range of affordable on campus accommodation. With catered, semi catered and self-catered options, you'll find something to suit your lifestyle and budget.

Catered

All Wagga Wagga Catered packages include the ‘Cheers Gold’ Meal Plan in the total cost with the option to upgrade to the ‘Cheers Platinum’ Meal Plan for extra convenience. See the Meal Plans page for more information on catered inclusions.

Catered accommodation options:

  • Cottages - Eight fully furnished single study rooms with shared common kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom. The Cottages contain full kitchen facilities and air-conditioning.
  • Stewards Halls - Four, single-storey buildings, fully heated and air conditioned. Fully furnished and carpeted single study bedrooms. Each building has a common room with TV, refrigerator, microwave and hot water urn.
  • Butler Halls - Three, two-storey buildings. Each building is centrally heated, fully furnished and carpeted with single study bedrooms. Carpeted common room with TV, refrigerator and microwave.
  • Bowen Hall and West Hall - Single study bedrooms. All are fully carpeted, furnished and heated. Both are two-storey buildings with open balconies. Again, each has a common room with TV, refrigerator and microwave.

Semi Catered

  • Murrumbidgee Village - Ten two-storey 20 bedroom air-conditioned houses with common kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom. All Murrumbidgee Village packages include the ‘Cheers 3’ Meal Plan in the total cost, with the option to upgrade to the ‘Cheers 5’ Meal Plan for extra convenience.   • Doman Hall - Single study bedrooms. Rooms are fully carpeted, furnished and heated. Doman has two common rooms with microwave, refrigerator and TV. All Doman Hall packages include the ‘Cheers Silver’ Meal Plan in the total cost, with the option to upgrade to the ‘Cheers Gold or Platinum’ Meal Plan for extra convenience. Self Catered

Self Catered residences have full kitchen facilities for you to prepare and cook your own meals. You will need to bring basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Cheers 3 and 5 Meal Plans can be purchased with any Self Catered package when you accept your accommodation offer. All bedrooms are fitted with a private telephone and internet access.

Self-catered accommodation options:

  • Cottages - Single storey eight bedroom air-conditioned houses with common kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom.
  • Postgraduate Village - Cottage-style air-conditioned accommodation, intended for postgraduate, mature age or honours students, with common kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom.
  • Hampden Place Undergraduate – Ensuited rooms with individual heating and cooling controls and a central kitchen.
  • Hampden Place Postgraduate – Ensuited rooms with individual heating and cooling and a kitchenette in each room. This is a no noise zone normally reserved for postgraduate and mature age students.
  • Village Way - 4 to 10 bedroom houses with common kitchen, lounge, dining and bathroom. Available to Returning Residents only. Visit your campus Residence Life Office for more information.

The Halls of Residence has a small number of facilities designed for students with disabilities. Contact Student Central for more details.

Transport

The University operates its own bus service seven days a week during the academic year, with reduced service over the weekends and during holidays. Travel within the campus is free; trips into town are $1.00. Students pay the driver each trip. Bus timetables are available from the Service Centre. These timetables also inform students of the route the bus takes within Wagga Wagga.

2014 Accommodation Packages commence on Friday 28 February 2014 and terminate on Saturday 8 November 2014

For New Residents attending Orientation Week, Accommodation Packages commence on Saturday 22 February 2014. Check In details will be provided to you upon acceptance of your offer.

Residents have the choice of 2 different packages:

  • Package One: Access to your room in Session 1 & Session 2 excluding non-class periods
  • Package Two: Access to your room in Session 1 & Session 2 including non-class periods
