Regional bonus points scheme

Regional BPCharles Sturt University's Regional Bonus Points scheme automatically adds five extra points to your university admission score (ATAR) if you study in a regional area within Australia.

Regional Bonus Scheme

Charles Sturt University is a national university and our Regional Bonus Point program extends to school leavers in regional areas throughout Australia.

The Regional Bonus Point (RBP) program is an equity program targeting regional areas. The program offers an additional five points to your university admission score (ATAR), which improves your selection rank.

Similarly, non Year 12 applicants residing in the University's regions will have their entrance rank increased by five points.

  • Bonus points apply to all of CSU's undergraduate courses.
  • Bonus points are automatically added to your university admission score you do not need to apply for them.

School leavers

For school leavers the RBP program relates to the school you attend not the place you live. If for example you live in Bourke but attend boarding school in Sydney then you are not eligible.

Non school leavers

For non school leavers the program is linked to your home address and postcode.

ACT, Hobart and Darwin

The Regional Bonus Point program extends into ACT, Hobart and Darwin.
