How to apply

Step 1 - Find a subject

Find a subject and note the following pieces of information which you will need to complete your application:

• Subject code
• Subject name
• On Campus location (if required)
• Mode (either On Campus or Distance Education)
• Session available

Step 2 - Complete an application

Apply Online
Select Applicant Type 12. Single Subject Study and enter SSYW as the admission code in the Planned Course of Study section. Nominate the subjects you would like to study in the Additional Information section of your application.

Applying online is the preferred method. If you are unable to apply online, you can download an Application for Admission form [PDF]. Please use the course name Single Subject Study. You will also need to complete either the Previous and current CSU students [PDF] or New CSU students [PDF] supplementary form.

Step 3 - Supporting documentation

If you have not studied at CSU before and the subject you have nominated has prerequisite study requirements, you will need to send the Admissions Office a verified copy of your academic transcript. 

If you have submitted an online application then use the signature page from the last section, or if you are using a downloaded paper application form, just attach your transcript to the application.

Completed application forms, supplementary forms and supporting documentation can mailed to:
