PACT welcomes Dr Alan Cadwallader

PACT is delighted to welcome Dr Alan Cadwallader to the Centre. Alan comes to PACT with a range of research interests. He has been researching the ancient site of Colossae for over 15 years with a shelf of resulting publications and plans for three further monographs. He is a foundation member of the Earth Bible Project and is currently writing the EBP Commentary on Mark's Gospel. Alan is fascinated by the intersection of bible and culture (ancient and contemporary) and is working on a project on the political intrigues involved in the Revised Version (1881, 1884). He is currently co-chair of the Polis and Ekklesia section of the Society of Biblical Literature and editing a new volume of New Documents Illustrating Early Christianity. Just to ensure that academic erudition gets grounded, he conducts occasional adult education courses on sexuality, bible and spirituality for various groups around Australia, learning every bit as much as he imparts.
