The CSU Campus in Port Macquarie is located opposite Lake Innes Village Shopping Centre and is approximately five kilometres from Port Macquarie’s Central Business District.
In 2016 CSU completed stage 1 of its multimillion-dollar campus at Port Macquarie. The campus three-level campus incorporates indoor and outdoor teaching spaces with a mix of natural material and colours to compliment the Mid-North Coast surroundings.
'Port' as the locals refer to it, is truly a town that has something special to offer students and academic staff considering their choice of campus location. Being a lifestyle-friendly town, featuring the surfing beaches, amenities, coastal rainforest and climate that have drawn tourists to the region since European settlement.
Smaller class sizes is one of the things that makes CSU different to other universities. Many of our students and alumni comment that the smaller student cohorts at CSU allows for quality relationships and lifelong friendships to form.
Benefits of smaller classes:
Benefits of a smaller student population on campus:
The first intake of students at CSU Port Macquarie was in March 2012. This represented a new chapter for CSU as this was our first coastal regional campus. It provided opportunities for students to study close to the beach and options for local students to access world-class higher education close to home.
In April 2016, staff and students moved into Stage One of their purpose built campus. There are another two stages expected to be completed over the coming years with a projected student intake of 5000 by the year 2030. The next few years will see continued growth of courses offered at the Port Macquarie campus. CSU representatives are building relationships with the local community, in business, government and other educational institutions, to ensure that the Campus is a significant contributor to the future of the entire region.
