Developing your ‘voice’ as a research writer - Face-to-face workshop

Location: Meeting Room 1, James Hagan Court – Building 475, Wagga Wagga campus.

Date: Wednesday, 29th May, 2013

Time: 9:30am – 12:00pm

This workshop will discuss the ways in which your research writing reflects your 'voice' and identity as a researcher. In addition to a practical focus on specific language features of your writing, the workshop includes discussion with a senior researcher about her own identity and voice in her writing, and the trajectory from beginner to master. There will also be opportunities for participants to share their experiences. Please bring with you: 1) an example of an article in your field which projects the kind of ‘voice’ which you would like to write with, and/or 2) an example of your own writing where you want to pay particular attention to the ‘voice’ you are projecting.
